•Actively encourage and demonstrate a culture of safety leadership •Ensuring that all company safety standards, policies, and procedures are followed along with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Mining Act and Regulations •Managing the day to day operations of the underground and open pit geology sections •Providing leadership and direction to the underground and open pit geology team •Responsible for adherence to all geology grade control standards and the issuing of plans for instruction •Accountable for all underground and open pit geology work •Responsible for all month end results and quarterly reports. (Drill performance vs plan, Grade performance vs mining practices) •Ensure the efficient planning and coordination of all geological activities to meet operational targets •Understand and report on all geological changes, highlight the impacts on mine plan •Training and development of the underground and open pit geology team in term of skills and full geological understanding of the orebodies. Develop and implement grade control underground and open pit procedures •Manage underground and open pit grade control drilling •Correct ore and waste allocation and ore accounting •Provides technical and geological support for UG and OC activities •Reconciliation from ore-body to ore mined and gold produced •Budget generation, implementation and management – operate within budget. •Keep underground grade control block model updated and complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations with resource model – determine gains and losses and explain changes (model to be used for short term mining plan), communicate the changes of the model to the mining team

•Actively encourage and demonstrate a culture of safety leadership •Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements and Company Safety, Health and Environmental standards and procedures •Develop and Implement Grade Control Open pit and underground process •Manage open pit and underground Grade Control drilling •Correct ore and waste allocation and ore accounting •Stockpile and ROM Pad Management •Provides technical and geological management for Open pits and Underground activities (pits and underground mapping, sampling, etc) •Reconciliation from orebody to gold produced •Work closely with the mining contractor (DTP mining) and production engineers to optimise operating development and maximise ore extraction to optimum grades •Mentoring and upgrade skills of subordinates •Budget generation, implementation and management – operate within budget.
