Production o Managed key engineering level and stope Deswik files and tracked all active stopes. o Prepared long-hole drill, clean & measure, and blast packages. o Assist in stope economics assessment. o Performed drill & blast quality analysis and control. o Issued and designed level development prints Ventilation o Conducted weekly and quarterly ventilation surveys at designated areas of the mine to ensure ducting and air quality is up to ministry standards. o Modeled mine ventilation with Ventsim to advance level development. o Issued tactical tasks for ventilation repairs and improvements. Paste Fill o Designed and issued fill holes and paste fill packages for stopes that required to be paste filled. o Conducted UCS tests on all paste pours to ensure paste reaches the required strength to continue development and mine adjacent stopes. o Reconciled paste filled stopes to determine discrepancies and mitigate deficiencies in future paste fills. Short Range Planning Compliance o Sent daily Compliance to Plan reports with comments on whether the mine was operating to the weekly 7+21 plan and explanations for any shortcomings. o Conducted a weekly meeting to discuss the mine’s performance and raise any actions needed to improve productivity. o Assisted short range planner with preparing 7+21 weekly schedule. Geology o Sent to headings to visually inspect whether development muck was waste or ore and took representative samples of every ore stockpile for assaying to determine stockpile grade. Underground Miner o Worked underground as a miner for 7 months to experience all aspects of underground mining. o Operated bolters, scoop, scissor decks, jumbo, mine-master, underground Toyota, and Jack leg o Worked with paste/construction crew building bulkheads, grouting, and installing paste line. o Worked with the blasting crew cleaning, loading, and timing stope blasts. o Worked with the development crew drilling, loading, and bolting development faces as well as rehabbing when needed. o Conducted haul truck and bolter time study.
