Receiving payments

Professional

Profreeio pays professionals 90%-95% of their rate, depending on the roles and the demand. Profreeio accredits the freelancer within 7 days after the payment is made by the employer. If the service is cancelled for any reason, Profreeio will return the fund to the employer as long as the professional has not delivered any services. Employers are expected to pay Profreeio after the service is completed. Professionals are responsible to pay their taxes or income tax which will apply to them based on their place of residence as per the jurisdiction they work under. 

Professionals will be able to receive payment from Profreeio using payment providers from Profreeio as per their registration. Withdrawal fees apply as per the method of registration.

The following withdrawal methods are available:

  • Bank transfer – US$3- US$10 per transfer depending on local or international transfer.
  • More fees may apply based on your currency and location.

The employer has the option to pay Profreeio through bank transfer.

Taxes

Freelancers are in charge of paying any direct or indirect taxes including GST, VAT or income tax which will be applicable to them depending on their residency, business status under their jurisdiction.

Taxes are in addition to the purchase price and will be displayed in the final invoice. Goods and Services Taxes apply based on the location of the service conducted.  

Employer

Employers using professionals for support services may be required to pay taxes such as GST, VAT or sales tax. If this is applicable, this will be included in the invoice.

Profreeio may require charging employers with indirect taxes such as GST, VAT or sales tax, such amount will be included in the invoice as required by laws. Taxes are in addition to the purchase price and will be displayed in the final invoice. GST applies based on the location of the service conducted.
